Airi Hayashida (林田 藍里 Hayashida Airi?) nicknamed Ai-chan, is one of the main characters in the Wake Up, Girls! anime series. She is a member of an idol group, Wake Up, Girls! where she joined after going through the audition in late 2013. Her image color is indigo and her image animal is shark.

Airi is a fair-skinned girl with neck-length light-brown hair and blue eyes with a mole on her left cheek.
She is usually seen wearing long-sleeved shirts or jumpers and skirts.
Personality[]
Airi is a simple girl with no particular abilities, but with a lot of drive and is a hard worker. She is often nervous and self-conscious about not being as professional or skilled as her friends, but thanks to the support from Mayu Shimada and her friends, she has gained a lot more confidence. She is always happy, never gives up and is supportive towards her friends and people around her. Her friends have described her as the "mother" of the group as she is always looking out for them.

Airi was almost fired from Wake Up, Girls! when Tasuku Hayasaka saw her lack of improvement but Yoshino Nanase and Mayu Shimada convinced her to stay in the group while the other girls convinced Tasuku not to fire her. She continues to practice and later becomes just as good as the others during their performances.
